Fall in the Asheville area is a busy time as visitors from all over come in search of vibrant fall color. Locals and repeat color hunters know that there’s more than just one week to catch spectacular color.


The fall color season begins at the end of September and goes until early November due to the differences in elevation and many species of trees in the Blue Ridge Mountains. So your first insider tip is to not fight the crowds in mid-October, but consider coming in late September or early November.
