Those of us who love Asheville know that what's going on in our restaurants is remarkable, and not just by small city standards. The James Beard Awards recognize the best of the best in culinary arts across the U.S., and right now, you have the opportunity to nominate your favorite chefs in 19 categories including:
- Best Chef in the Southeast,
- Rising Star Chef of the Year,
- Outstanding Chef,
- Best New Restaurant,
- America's Classics and
- Outstanding Bar Service.
Two Asheville chefs--Katie Button of Curate Tapas Bar and Jacob Sessoms of Table--have been named semifinalists in years past. Let's make 2013 the year that Asheville brings a James Beard home!
